Pia was born in Switzerland. Shortly after completing a Commerce degree, she emigrated to South Africa where she worked as a trader, managing her own export business for 12 years. She won a few business awards as an entrepreneur; among them the 1992 Business woman of the year award. Pia is well traveled and has lived and worked on many continents, in the developing and the developed world. In 1996 she followed her husband to Germany where her life took a 180 degree turn. She fulfilled an inner calling by studying Naturopathy, Homeopathy and Astrology, something she has been interested in already in her teenage years. She has a certificate in Evolutionary Astrology taught by Ulrich Boeld in Hamburg. In 1999 Pia emigrated to Australia where she completed an Advanced Diploma in Homeopathy, a Diploma in Nutrition, Remedial Massage and Counselling and continued her Astrological studies.
Extensive studies of Astrology followed with the Canopus Academy for Astrology, mentored by Linda Reid, Cycles and Symbols mentored by Alia Ryder in Sydney, workshops with Maggie Kerr, and workshops for Medical Astrology with Verena Bachmann in Zuerich. In addition she did extensive studies of Metaphysics and Psychology. 2004 she won the Allan Johnson award for the best FAA Dynamic exam and 2005 the Doris Greaves award and a Gold Medal for Excellence for the best FAA Advanced Exam in Australia. Pia serves in the steering committee of AFAN (Association for Astrological Networking). She attends regular conferences in the USA. Pia holds the FAA Practitioners certificate.
